Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Easyfood in Kolding has experienced impressive growth in recent years, and in order to continue this growth, it has been necessary to increase production capacity. Easyfood, which is part of the Orkla Group, already has two production lines, but by the end of 2022, a third line will be ready. The new third line will handle Easyfood's large production of sausage rolls, while the two existing lines will have room for the development of more specialized products.
In connection with the expansion of production, Easyfood has purchased a hygiene airlock from NTF-Aalborg in a cleanable and hygienic design that meets the industry's strict hygiene requirements.
- When our products are processed and 'ready to eat', safety measures are tightened and they are stored in what we call a 'high-care' area and all employees who work in or have an errand in the high-care area must pass through a hygiene sluice with hand disinfection and sole washing. For us, the quality of our products is paramount, and the bacteriology must be in order, says Svend Østergaard Hansen, Technical Manager at Easyfood.
Happy to work with NTF-Aalborg
- We have worked with NTF-Aalborg for many years and have purchased several other of their quality solutions in the past. We are happy to take on suppliers that we already know and have worked with. Therefore, it was also natural to contact NTF-Aalborg for advice and guidance on the design of the hygiene sluice solution for our new factory. We supply products to large, demanding customers in the international market. They place high demands on safety and hygiene, so we also place high demands on our suppliers and partners, says Svend Østergaard Hansen.
Professional advice on interior design
- In connection with the construction of a new 'high-care' area, we have had a really good dialog with NTF-Aalborg and Jørgen Ravn about different design options for the new hygiene sluice, and there have been many proposals back and forth before we found the best solution. It's all about trust and I really appreciate the professional advice that NTF-Aalborg has provided and the knowledge they have in the area, says Svend Østergaard Hansen.

- We particularly like the versatility of NTF-Aalborg. They have a wide range of solutions for the food industry and all products are made of stainless steel and have a hygienic design. They therefore have extensive knowledge of the industry, especially when it comes to safety and hygiene. We only know NTF-Aalborg for delivering good quality solutions, concludes Svend Østergaard Hansen.
